Min første dag - Day 1

Today was my first day at Limfjordskolen. For the first time I met the students and teachers I will work with for ten months from now on. All of them were really kind and friendly.

This morning we went to the fjord - which is pretty close to the school - and had a boat tour on one of the oldest canals in Denmark after we had fished for some crabs.

The students are very open-minded and communicative. The only problem is that I don't speak Danish yet and the students do neither understand German nor English. So they talked to me all the time but I didn't understand. Anyways, it was a lot of fun for me to guess what everything meant.

I'm glad I picked up some new Danish words and sentences today.

Another thing I learned is that even if it is sunny and warm in the morning you should still carry a warm cagoule with you. The rain in Denmark starts so abruptly (!!) it takes less than thirty seconds for you to be completely drenched with rain.

After work Tania (a Spanish volunteer who also lives with me), me and our boss went to Aalborg to apply for our residence permit. I hope the whole process is not going to take too long so we can attend language school soon.
